Jessica Tavik, C.V.T.
Jessica moved to Wyoming after graduating with a degree in Veterinary Technology from Pima Medical Institute, in Colorado Springs, Colorado in the spring of 2011. Jessica is a Certified Veterinary Technician. She started her career with our hospital in the summer of 2013.
She is a member and Vice President of the Rawlins Pen-Up Girlz, a local roller derby team, and a part of the local community choir. Jessica is truly passionate about her love for animals and furthering client education. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys cooking, hiking, hunting, reading, and is currently working on improving her Spanish speaking ability.
Between Jessica and her boyfriend, they have 4 dogs; Lucky, a Heeler mix; Samauri, a Samoyed; Hoyt, an Australian Shepherd; and Mr. E, a Corgi mix. They also have 2 cats, Anastasyia and D’dee.
In the future, she plans on returning to school to continue her education and earn a degree that would qualify her to teach others how to be Veterinary Technicians.
Amy Grant, C.V.T.
Amy joined our team at CCVH in August of 2014. Prior to moving to Rawlins, she worked at a veterinary clinic in Laramie for seven years. Amy attended Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington where she majored in Veterinary technology. She is a Certified Veterinary Technician.
Amy and her husband have a gray and white tuxedo cat named Corina and a Deutsch Drathaar named Brewski. In her spare time, Amy enjoys baking, hiking with her dog, birdwatching, and spending time with family.
Amy was born in St. Louis. Missouri but she spent most of her childhood in Rawlins and graduated from Rawlins High School. Amy graduated from Carroll College in Helena, Montana in 1989 with her Bachelor of Arts in Health Information and Medical Records Administration. She worked at DePaul Hospital in Cheyenne, Wyoming as the Assistant Director of Medical Records while Warner was in veterinary school. Amy shares ownership responsibilities with her husband Dr. Warner McFarland. She is the Office Manager at our hospital and oversees our staff of front office professionals. Most of Amy’s duties are administrative but she can be found sharing in the reception activities. She likes interacting with pets and their owners.
Amy enjoys spending time with her husband, Warner, and their four children (Adam, Catie, Ben and Anne Marie). Together they enjoy attending their kids various sporting events and activities. When she has free time; she enjoys reading, watching movies, cooking, golfing, and gardening. They share their home with two, 10 year old, German Wirehaired Pointers Orion and his sister Betsy and Tobias, a 2 year old, very spirited Duetsch Draathar.
Sherry was born in Colorado. Since her dad worked for an oil company, their family traveled all over the United States during her childhood. She attended many different schools until the late 1960’s when they settled in Rawlins, her mom’s hometown. Sherry has worked in business/accounting field for many years in various settings. She joined our team in August of 2011 as a bookkeeper/receptionist.
Sherry has 3 grown children all living in Carbon County along with her 4 grandchildren. When she is at home, Sherry enjoys watching old movies, reading, walking, and completing Find-A-Word puzzles. She and her husband, William, are also entertained by their two cats Pepper and Blaze.
Ashton is a Wyoming native. She was born in Laramie and raised in Encampment. After she graduated from high school she attended Northwest Community College in Powell, Wyoming and participated in online classes with Stevens-Henager College in Murray, Utah. She was awarded her Associates Degree in Graphic Design in 2013. Ashton has been living in Rawlins with her son Braven Carnes for the past seven years.
Ashton joined our team at Carbon County Veterinary Hospital in March 2013 as a receptionist. She enjoys helping our clients and patients with any questions or concerns they may have.
Ashton loves to spend time with her family being outdoors, watching movies, reading, exercising, cooking and continuing her passion in art.
Stacey was born in Colorado and raised here in Rawlins. She graduated from Rawlins High School in 1990. After graduation she attended college for a while and then moved to upstate New York for several years working with the developmentally disabled. While there she finished her general degree in Liberal Arts. In October 2015, Stacey moved back to Rawlins and joined the CCVH team. Her hobbies include photography, reading, and writing. Stacey also enjoys spending time with her fur babies, Molly, a 9 year old Labrador mix, and her cats Willow and Rooster.
Nancy was born and raised in Greeley, Colorado. She attended the University of Northern Colorado from 1969-1972 where she studied Anthropology. She married her husband Jim in 1972. They moved to Wyoming with their 3 sons in 1994. Nancy joined the CCVH team in April of 2001.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her 4 grandchildren. Nancy also has a green thumb and cares for the plants at our hospital as well as gardening at home.
